Our 6 week trip planned to ride from Canberra to Geelong ended up to be a week in Canberra. Yes COVID-19 got us again. The borders were closing (between NSW and Victoria) so we didn’t want to risk it and and get stuck in no mans land along the border so we hot footed, by plane back to Melbourne where we headed to the Grampians.

Hiking in Grampians, Victoria

Saturday 2nd January 2021.

January 2021 we were planning to ride from Canberra via Cooma, Bombala, Cann River, through East Gippsland to Melbourne, arriving back in Geelong, near the end of January.

Victorian Boarder Restrictions on NSW at the end December prevented us from touring as planned. We decided to fly from Canberra to Melbourne before the clamp down and have been bike touring around Victoria since, including a trip to Bendigo, Avoca, Ararat then 4 days bushwalking in the Grampians.

We finally have arrived in our home town – Geelong late January and our World Bike Tour has been put on hold for 2021.

We will tour locally (Victoria) and once the border crossings have settled down and are more reliable, we may even take off interstate again???

Our blog updates will occur every so often, so keep an eye out on our travels if you wish.
